LeonaLeona Louise Lewis, born 3 April 1985 is an actor, singer, and activist from Britain. She was raised in London Borough of Islington and went to Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis became famous as she was selected for the third season on The X Factor 2006 and got a deal worth PS1,000,000 from Syco music. The single she won, which was a cover Kelly Clarkson's track "A Moment like This" reached 50,000 downloads in thirty minutes and peaked at #1 for four weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a 5-album deal in February 2007. Lewis's success continued as she debuted her first album, Spirit (2007). It received platinum certification in the UK as the fourth highest-seller album in 2000s. In the words of the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the best-selling debut album released by an artist of female origin to date in the 21st century. The first single, "Bleeding Love", spent seven weeks at number top in UK and was the highest-selling single in 2007. The song was among the best-selling in 2008 as well. Lewis won the Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. The singer released Echo in 2009 , and recorded "I Love You" which was the film's title track. Lewis also released "Collide" in 2011as in a collaboration in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. In addition, she dropped Hurt which was her EP. her first extended performance. Glassheart (2012) was the third album she recorded. The album was inspired by electronic music and dubstep. In the course of her Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began recording material to her Christmas debut album. The Christmas album, with Love was released late in 2013. The lead track One More Sleep peaked at number 3 within the UK. The chart's chart position was what made Lewis the first British single female singer in the top five, with eight songs. She also broke Olivia Newton-John's seven record.
